What we do

Most karaoke gear is sold on wattage. That number tells you very little about whether a singer will be heard clearly over the music in a particular room. Ceiling height, room shape, where people sit, how loudly the group actually sings — those decide the result, and they are what we ask about before recommending anything.

That is why our complete systems are sold as matched packages: amplifier, speakers, two UHF wireless microphones and the cables to connect them. The impedance and power matching is already done, so nothing arrives that quietly damages something else.

How we write about products

Our product pages carry a section called Quick notes before you buy. It exists to say the things a spec sheet leaves out — that a speaker is passive and needs an amplifier, that a cabinet weighs 80 lb and needs two people, that a system is more than a normal living room needs.

We would rather talk a customer down to a smaller system than sell a large one that gets returned. If a product is not right for your room, we will say so.

Building a system

If you are starting from scratch, the Karaoke Solutions page groups systems by room size and gives a starting price for each. If you already own part of a setup, tell us what you have and we will work around it.
